Overview
Cedar Creek Reservoir is a large water-supply lake in the Trinity River basin of East Texas, spanning parts of Kaufman and Henderson counties. Built and operated for regional supply storage, the reservoir covers approximately 32,873 acres. It is managed by the Tarrant Regional Water District primarily for municipal and industrial water supply, with recreation on the pool.
The basin presents a mix of open main-lake water, timbered creek arms, points, and shoreline indentations typical of a large East Texas supply reservoir.
