Overview
Lake Texana is a water-supply reservoir on the Navidad River in the coastal plain of Texas. Built for regional supply storage, the lake covers approximately 9,700 acres. It is managed by the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority primarily for municipal and industrial water supply, with recreation on the pool.
The basin presents open main-lake water, creek arms, points, and shoreline flats characteristic of a coastal-plain supply reservoir.
