Lake Meredith

The basin sits in a canyon and plains setting along the Canadian River, with open water, points, and shoreline structure shaped by the river valley and storage pool. Depth and bottom character vary from shallower shoreline margins to deeper water toward the dam, giving boaters and anglers a mix of habitats under a wide operating range. Lake Meredith supports recreational boating, fishing, and shoreline use through public access facilities around the lake and associated recreation areas. Fishing and boating regulations are guided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Ramps and recreation sites provide regional access for Panhandle visitors.

Reclamation and CRMWA manage Meredith for water-supply storage and system operations, with a conservation elevation near 2,936.5 feet.
