Lake George is a natural lake in NY. It is managed by New York State (Lake George Park Commission).
The basin is characterized by about 28,453 acres of surface area, roughly 109 miles of shoreline, a maximum depth near 196 feet. Shoreline and bottom character vary from protected coves and flats to deeper water, supporting a mix of open-water and nearshore habitats.
